The 12th of March 2019, as provided by the International Cooperation Project funded by Italian Agency for Cooperation (AICS) and by Gubbio Municipality, has been opened the Training & Safety in Construction Center in Ramallah. The Center got all the necessary authorizations to organize training courses for building workers, in particular those related to safety in building sites. Following the signature of the agreement about the training offer signed the 4th of August by CESF (Italian center guarantor of training programs), PCU and Palestinian Ministry of Public Works, the new Center will organize the first course for supervisors of works at height in sites. Participation in the course and passing the final assessment test allow the trainee to receive a validated certificate of qualification.
The first edition of the course, for a total duration of 18 hours, will take place the 30h / 31th and 2th or 3th (note well: participants will be divided into two groups, the first one will attend the practical course the 2th of November, the second one the 3th of November), from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Training Center venue in Ramallah, Masyoun, Hippocrates Street (near the Millenium Hotel).
PROGRAM:
FIRST DAY (Theoretical part): Good practices about safety and health in building sites; Understanding of executive safety documents; Assembly, dismantle and transform a scaffolding
SECOND DAY (Theoretical part): Correct use of PPE for works at height; Assemble the scaffolding in the correct way; Safety checks on the scaffolding
THIRD DAY (I group) FOURTH DAY (II group) (Practical part): Assembly, dismantling and transformation of a scaffolding in safety; Management of first aid and assessment of more appropriate actions to be done in case of accident; Final Test
Important: all those interested in participating or send their employees in the course are requested to fill in the attached “COURSE REGISTRATION FORM” (The training center will schedule other editions of the course that will be communicate to the people enrolled in the course as soon as possible, if the number of enrolled people was greater than the number of students required by the educational regulation).
